The Mighty Metagross is a special attacker that builds up its stats with predefined stat boosting moves. It uses the attacks Meteor Mash, Zen Headbutt, Earth Quake, and Thunder Punch. With Hone Claws, Iron Defense, and Light Screen also coming out at predetermined times during the raid.
With all these stat raising moves, trainers have been having success with Pokémon that have the ability Unaware, which ignores Metagross’ stat changes. It may also be beneficial to have Arboliva as a partner during solo raids. Its ability to setup grassy terrain will help reduce the power of Metagross’ Earthquake move.
