Pokémon Day 2026 - 30th Anniversary

Pokémon Day 2026 will mark the 30th anniversary of Pokémon on February 27, 2026.

This milestone celebration commemorates three decades since the original Pokémon Red and Green launched in Japan on February 27, 1996.

Generation 10 Announced

Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves will be the generation 10 games for Pokémon.

Generation 10 Release Date

No firm release date has been announced yet, but it will be released sometime in 2027.

Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves Starters

The starter Pokémon for Winds and Waves will be Pombon, Browt, and Gecqua. Pombon is a fire dog, Browt is a grass bird, and Gecqua is a water lizard.

Pokémon Music Collection

A Game Boy themed Jukebox has been released with music from Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue.

Pokémon Champions

Pokémon Champions will be released in April of 2026. It will be used for the 2026 Pokémon World Championships at San Francisco.

Various Pokémon have been released for Pokémon Go.

Pokémon Masters EX

Pokémon Masters EX will feature several new sync pairs in the game. The sync pairs are: Red (1996) & Pikachu, Florian (Anniversary 2026) & Ogerpon, and Juliana (Anniversary 2026) & Terapagos.

Pokémon Cafe Remix

Pokémon Cafe Remix will feature starter Pokémon from all generations.

Pokémon Sleep

New Mew missions will start in Pokémon Sleep.

Pokémon Unite

Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres will be available to battle with in Pokémon Unite.

Pokémon TCG Pocket

New missions are available in Pokémon TCG Pocket for the next 30 days.

Pokémon XD

Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2’s Gamecube collection.

Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen

Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen are available for download on the Nintendo Switch.

Pokémon Legends Z-A

Garchompite Z can be obtained via mystery gift.

Pokémon Pokopia

Pokopia will be released on March 5th for the Nintendo Switch 2.
